Zhoya (also known as Mr. Boo Boo) is a 9.5-year-old male cat with one eye (born this way, and it doesn’t bother him at all). Zhoya adores human attention and snuggles. He appreciates peace and quiet to indulge in his long naps throughout the day. When awake, he seeks cuddles, engages in frequent zoomies, and enjoys interactive playtime (though he tends to lose interest in toys quickly). Zhoya has lived with other cats and is accustomed to being around dogs, but we envision him thriving as the only cat or sharing a home with a calm doggo. He gets along with non-humans as long as they let him be.
Zhoya is neutered and up to date with his vaccines. He has a non-infectious sneezing condition, but a cleaner environment reduces his sneezing. Zhoya had a comprehensive blood workup this spring, and the vet recently declared him healthy and in good shape.
Why are we rehoming Zhoya?
A change in our cats’ diet, and therefore their energy level, led to increased tension between Zhoya and the other two cats. Despite our best and many efforts, including consulting a behaviourist, Zhoya continues to display discomfort around the other cats. We believe a life of constant partial separation isn’t conducive to well-being, so we are seeking a new, loving family for Zhoya where he can feel safe and at ease.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a family who will embrace what we know about Zhoya, his preferences and needs, and who will commit to a gradual transition from his current routine and rhythm of a day.
Lots of love, attention, and cuddles.
A family that spends considerable time at home to keep him company.
A calm home where he can feel safe and relaxed.
A family committed to offering him daily interactive play session(s).
Cozy beds at knee height (Zhoya rarely uses the higher parts of cat trees).
A home where he will remain an indoor cat for his safety (no access to the outside, unless it’s a secured balcony, window, terrace, or garden).
We’ll provide Zhoya’s favorite scratching tree, toys, beds, automatic feeder, licking mat, puzzle, and a transporter. We request an adoption fee of 75EUR.
The adoption process includes a video call and a meeting with Zhoya at our home nearby Ede. Once finalized, we’ll bring Zhoya and his belongings to your home.
Adoption contract applies.
